Answers to some of the questions you'll have about the library and library services while the building is closed to the public.

Can I still get help with library-related questions?
Yes. Library staff will be answering emails, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What if I want to use your online resources, but I don't have my card or I forgot my pin?
Send an email to and let us know what's going on.  We'll get you the information you need as soon as possible.

What if I want to use your resources, but I don't have a library card?
Email us at! We will give you a call to create a temporary card and give you the information so that you can use all of our digital resources. When the library opens to the public again, just stop by to grab the physical card!

What do I do with the library books I have at home?

Keep all library materials with you. The outdoor dropboxes have been locked, and we are not accepting any returns until we get the okay from the public health officials. 

What about overdue fines and fees?
All library items' due dates have been extended to May 1st system wide, including those from Northborough, to avoid fines and fees. Any fines accrued on Northborough items during this closure time will be waived.
