English Conversation Circle Volunteers Needed
English Conversation Circles are one hour informal group meetings run by library volunteers for adults who want to improve their conversational English.  During the meetings attendees:
  • Practice listening, speaking, and pronunciation through normal, everyday conversations
  • Meet people from all over the world
  • Have fun speaking in English with other adults who are also learning.
We are currently seeking friendly, outgoing, volunteers who are interested in assisting the Conversation Circle Leader on the Tuesday evenings from 7- 8 pm and/or Thursday mornings from 10-11 am in the Library.

In this volunteer position, you will assist the English Conversation Circle Leader with:
  • Planning topics and preparing any handouts prior to meeting
  • Encouraging participation among attendees
  • Moderating discussions amongst attendees in the circle, or in smaller groups within the circle
  • Keeping records of attendees.
If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please contact Adult Services Librarian Deborah Hersh at (508) 393-5025 ext. 5 or at adults@northboroughlibrary.org
